Novax was founded after Brent was terminated as a Lieutenant in the Seattle Fire Department for not compromising his beliefs and submitting to forced vaccination. Brent began his career in construction as a painter during college, then left to serve in the military after the attacks on 9/11. Upon discharge he resumed work in construction as a carpenter, framing and finishing custom homes. He finished his degree in Engineering and continued his construction career working for Snohomish County as a Civil Engineer. He then moved on to continue public service as a firefighter/EMT for the City of Seattle. He worked the majority of his career in Pioneer Square, rose to the rank of Lieutenant and was then separated due to the vaccine mandate. He has now returned to construction and enjoys being able to continue to provide great customer service.
